The XI. Giacinto Scelsi Festival Basel presents a diverse program under the title "DANS LA ROUTE – Scelsi Welcomes His Friends," placing Scelsi's work in the context of his contemporaries and inspired successors.
 

Highlights include the Swiss premiere of Maryanne Amacher's PETRA for two pianos, as well as world premieres by Stefan Tcherepnin, Katharina Weber, and Werner Bärtschi. Works by Ligeti, Hindemith, Satie, and Evangelisti enrich the program, complemented by readings and reflections on texts by John Cage and Giacinto Scelsi.
 

Artists such as Robyn Schulkowsky, Stefan Tcherepnin, Joana Gama, and the Ensemble Zink & Copper will perform alongside Swiss musicians like Werner Bärtschi, Marianne Schroeder, Katharina Weber, and the Azahar Ensemble. The festival blends innovative contemporary music with a regional focus, creating a multifaceted listening experience that unites sound, space, and history.
